We often measure our lives by memorable events, such as vacations and weekend getaways. For many of us, life is a timeline of special memories with our mundane routine filling in the gaps. We can maximize our significant moments, however, without going to exotic destinations. A walk in the woods, a trip to the park, or a day in the city can be special if we make it so by creatively documenting these more ordinary events. This family loves beautiful gardens and they took a spring weekend trip to southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. The trees and shrubs were in bloom and the kids loved frolicking across the acres of blooming perennials and splashing through the exquisite fountains on the grounds. By creating a collage in Graphics-Toolbox with the pictures from Longwood and Winterthur Gardens, they chronicled the memorable weekend. This collage allows the whole family, little Mark included, to recall the highlights and emotions of the trip. Notice how it isn't just a collage of rectangular pictures. They used a great picture of the four children on a bench and cut away the background of the photo and placed it in the foreground of the collage, giving the composition an interesting perspective. A collage of memories can be far more effective than a group of 4-6 snapshots. Safeguard your memories big and small using Graphics-Toolbox, and have fun in the process! |
